People gone missing regardless on age, sex and their social status. There are a number of reasons why people go missing, it includes a various illnesses like physical or mental, accidents, family affairs and some becomes a victims of a crime. Reports of missing persons have raised up in the past 25 years, from 150,000 in 1980 and today it has a recorded of 900,000 people missing. An average of 2,300 Americans Citizens are reported missing everyday. In a recent news on fox4kc John Parkhurst went missing, and Family members are still searching with info from private investigator.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police say they’re working new leads in the disappearance of John Parkhurst, who has been missing since last June. His mother contacted a private investigator, concerned she says that her son’s disappearance would turn into a cold case. Police call this case an active missing person’s investigation.

John-Parkhurst-missingBut the Parkhurst family already fears the worst. As the family waits for closure, a private investigator claims to have uncovered some gruesome details surrounding Parkhurst’s disappearance. His mother and sister are desperately trying to figure out whatever happened to the 44-year-old.

“The last time I saw John was June 10. We had coffee. He put his arms around me and he said, ‘you’re a good mom,’ and I said, ‘I know, John,’”Jacqui LaForte, Parkhurst’s mother, said.

Every week Dawn Parkhurst hits the block where her brother was last seen, putting up fliers and asking questions.

    The saddest thing is how many times families have to hire private investigators to find the facts – too many of us assume the police will solve the crime for us but sometimes they don’t even think it is a crime when it was.

    My heart is with this family. I think the hardest part would be not knowing. Like everyone else, I hope they find him soon and I hope he is okay and can recover in the love of his family.
